In the spring of 2022, I went on a trip to South Carolina. As I was walking along the beach, I stumbled across a shell, and it was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. It inspired me immediately, and I couldn’t help but think how beautiful it would be as an earring.
This was the start of my venture into jewelry making. I created a few styles, and launched an Etsy shop. As part of this effort, I was more than excited to create a brand for this little effort of mine: Coastal Jewelry Co.
During this side-hustle, I created a logo, illustrations/icons inspired by the South Carolina coast which I then used to create a pattern, thank you post cards which I used to write a message to each customer, earring cards which I poked holes in to display each pair of earrings, and I served as an art director on a photoshoot of the earrings.
While the Etsy shop didn’t necessarily maintain momentum, I will always be proud of the branding and photography direction of Coastal Jewelry Co.
